Snowy Day

Today is the first snowy day in North Carolina in two years! Neil was so excited to see snow. This is a picture that I took at 7:30 am of our street and here's a picture of our house with snow. It's a big deal down here to actually have snow!
Neil was very excited to make a snowball. I think he has read about in his books.
It turns out that we have the best hill in the neighborhood in our backyard. Lots of kids came by to sled down the hill. Neil loved it!
This was taken at 7:30 am. Neil is still sporting his pajamas, but he couldn't wait to see and touch the snow. He was surprised how cold it was!

Here are a few very short videos of Neil sledding down the hill in our backyard.

Neil's First Theater Experience

On Saturday, January 17th, Neil went to see a local dance group perform their interpretation of "Charley and the Chocolate Factory" with his friend, Hopewell. Neil loved the experience and was dancing in his seat. The show started at 6 pm and he didn't have a good nap so at about 6:50 he turned and looked at me and said "Mommy, very tired." However, at the end of the show he was yelling "More" and all the way to the parking lot he yelled to go back. We had a great time!

Here's a great clip of Neil and a frog that he and I found.
It is from the late summer and it has the old deck in it. Hope you like it.

Belly Update

As you can see from the ticker above, I am 35 weeks pregnant. Here are some pictures that I took of myself in the mirror. They are definitely not the best or most flattering, but there have a few requests for belly pictures (Christine and Amy).

Fire Fighter Neil

Neil is sporting his new rain coat -it's little boy dress up. We took these pictures with our new camera that Mama and Papa gave us for Hanukkah.

Florida Vacation 2008

Neil is enjoying time with GG, Nanny, and Mama at "The Girls" picking strawberries. They were delicious!

Look at all my strawberries!

Mama and Papa took Neil to Lion Country Safari. He had a great time!

Look Mama is on a ride! She must really love Neil.

Florida Vacation

We had a wonderful time in Florida visiting Nanny Nita, G-G (Nanny Flo), Poppy, Aunt Roni, Uncle Alan, Jacob, Adam, Mama, Papa, Aunt Boo-Boo (Manda), Aunt B, Uncle Spence, Stephen, and Nikki.

Papa taught him to play tennis and baseball. Neil actually made contact with the bat and ball.

He went to Lion Country Safari with Mama and Papa while Mommy and Daddy spent a night in South Beach Miami.

He played at Sugar Sand and Patch Reef playgrounds.

He even visited the Minute Clinic for his first ear infection, but it didn't stop him from enjoying any of the activities.

See above for some pictures of Neil at Lion Country Safari with Mama and Papa, riding Aunt Roni's horses, and picking strawberries with Nanny, GG, and Mama.

It was a fabulous trip. Happy New Year!
